Mother of 4

One day, many moons ago, Chris and I were just waking up and we were talking about life, and what we had planned that day, then he mentioned that he had a weird thought that when he was with the kids, he kept thinking where is the 4th. I laughed a little cause those words coming from his mouth were totally unexpected and responded with something snarky and a huge yeah right. I thought about it briefly then put it out of my mind.

After we had Camden we were 100% certain he was it.  We felt complete as a family.

Just the other day Chris mentioned our conversation from months prior he said "well I guess i was right about the 4th kid"  Its been fun to see how chill he's been about it all and me being the slightly crazy one this time around.

I've had to completely take a 180 degree spin and get my brain to be ready for a "I'm having a 4th kid" mode.  Being a mother of 4 was something I had never thought about or expected.  I've been documenting this pregnancy more than my other ones and its definitely helped me get excited about it.  Seeing other people be excited, whether or not its actually genuine i don't know, but non the less, has been very helpful. So thank you to you wonderful people who have said congratulations, or commented on pictures, or have come up and chatted with me and asked me how I'm doing.  It really has made a world of difference.

Will I love this little guy any less because i'm not as "into it" this time around? no way.  I love him very much already and we are already buddies thanks to our late night & early morning kicking and stretching sessions. We've bonded.

We are only weeks away from this little one joining our family.  Chris literally just texted me "7 weeks only 50 days!!" he has a countdown at work.

So, this post doesn't really have a point but I guess its okay to not be into being pregnant when people expect you to be: a memoir.

here are some photos of my belly and cheeks getting huge, your welcome.
 16 weeks, 20 weeks, 27 weeks
30 weeks, 32 weeks

Well here's to being a mother of 4 kids.

Its great to be 8

On the 15th my oldest turned 8!

How is that even possible? I know kids grow up and they grow up fast for sure.

Well 8 is a special age.

Evelyn had the choice to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We were delighted that she chose to be baptized.

A couple of weeks before her baptism, we went down to the Gilbert Temple and my sister Mallory took pictures for us of Evelyn all dressed up in the beautiful white dress.

Evelyn isn't one for having her picture taken so I was really happy how wonderful they turned out!

We are so proud of Evelyn and still can't believe how quickly this day came.  Before we know it, Amelia will be 8!

30 Weeks

I haven't done a pregnancy update for quite a while, I think the last one I did was when I was 15 weeks along.  I've been busy with holiday stuff, family stuff, just you know stuff.

If you follow me on Instagram then you've been getting frequent pictures as the weeks have gone by. I haven't talked about the pregnancy much with each picture I've posted on insta, so here is a more detailed update for you.

How far along?  30 weeks
Maternity clothes? yes, well yes and no.  I caved and bought a couple things online some maternity jeans and a shirt.  Turns out I thought i ordered a certain size, but my pregnancy brain betrayed me and ordered a different size, so its all pretty loose on me.  Its okay though. Its not constricting so its all good.  But most of what i wear is just really stretchy non maternity shirts, and yoga pants. i found a pair of yoga pants on clearance $5 i bought in a size up so there are the one thing i have that fits right now. shirts i just wear regular ones. I did get a muumuu and its the greatest thing ever cause pants are sometimes the worst thing to wear and i hate the chore it is to put pants on. :)
Sleep: sleep is always a challenge.  I have a million and one pillows to sleep on, under, over, and around me, still not at the super comfy level, but i do get some sleep so i'll take it.
Best moment this week: just feeling my sweet little boy move, and Camden has finally come around to the idea of a baby brother, and he's learning to say his name. HEART MELTS every time.
Miss Anything? sleeping on my stomach, and living with out back pain. my upper back has just been throwing me for a loop thing time around.
Movement: he is quite the acrobat.
Food cravings: still mostly the same since the beginning.  meat, mostly steak or hamburger.
Anything making you queasy or sick:My kids and husband bestowed upon me a head cold, so i make myself queasy with the snot and coughing its really a lovely site to see.
Happy or Moody most of the time: My spirits are up even though I have many, many excuses to be in the worst mood ever.
Looking forward to:Im looking forward to my next appointment i'll be 32 weeks, then i'll go every 2 weeks and once i hit that i can see the finish line!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years.  Ours was pretty chill and it was amazing to just have time to relax while Chris had time off of work.

30 weeks and counting!
I've said this many times but 30 weeks is when i hit my glamour stage of pregnancy. It just keeps getting better from here folks!
