2.24.2015

last week, today

This past week has been an eventful one. Amazing happy things and stuff that is just sad face.

First i need to write something sad face, which is really rare for me.

Right now, I am at the table of "girls who eat their feelings".

People are moving away and it make me sad.  One of my super amazing best friends, who i love and adore so so much, is going to be headed off on a new adventure. aka:moving aka:two whole states away

I was perusing the isles of Target when she dropped the news of moving on me. I wanted to throw a tantrum in the middle of the shampoo isle but i restrained myself. I was grateful it was over the phone and i was in public, cause i clearly would have lost my mind if i was at home or if i was looking at her face.

I cry a little less any time i think about it now, so that's good.  I've had about a week to process it, but it just bums me out, man. I know i have plenty of time to spend with her and her family before they head off, but wow, its going to be super hard. I haven't even known her very long, but sometimes you just click with people and its amazing!

I will say this though, I am so unbelievably excited for her! I want this for her, like, i want to party all night, excited.  It is a weird mix of emotions, for sure!

Change is hard, but i am a believer in change and how much i need it. Maybe, i could also be a little jelly, that i don't get to go on a super awesome adventure in a new land with her. :)

Plus side: I've already come up with an amazing 'you're leaving me but i still love you' gift!

I big puffy heart each and every person that comes into my life, and i wish i could have everyone stay close but i still big puffy heart them if they leave. I've been "the leaver" a few times and its rough for sure.

I will miss my friend so much but i look forward to many phone/video calls, packages, & letters in our future, and the occasional, I'm coming to visit. :)

blogger meet up: Galentines

photo cred Lydia @ Photography Hill

Since this is the year of put myself out there, I went ahead and bought a ticket to the AZ blogger meet up.

I've seen the hashtag #azbloggermeetup in the past and was always like "holy smokes! these people are so amazingly cool and I'm not worthy to be in the presence of them" guys, its so true! The peeps i met are totally amazing and i am so not even worthy!

I had thee best time! Everyone was so sweet and fun and just all around glamorous.  I basically did the whole, fake it till you make it approach. Crushed it...maybe! :)

I was given a fellow blogger/social media celeb to stalk and then buy a Galentines gift for.  I super stalked the crap out of Jenn from A Style Portrayed. She is literally the most fabulous, and adorable person! I was like whoa, what do i get for this girl, she is far more fierce than I! After many moons of night sweats, and nightmares, i finally compiled a few things that i thought went well with her. I got all weird and nervous to give her, her gift because, uh, its Jenn freakin Loyd!

I had a stalker as well, yay! My Galentine was Cathy from Our Mini Family. You guys she is so cool, again NOT WORTHY! I got some of the sweetest stuff from her! Love, love, loved it all!

I am glad i got off my rear and put it in gear and went to this meet up. I could go on, and on about all the amazing people i met. I see many besties 4 life. :)

Thank you, thank you to everyone i met for being so rad, and making me feel like i belong, you ladies are something else.

Shout out to Waffle Love for the delicious waffles! I ate mine so fast i forgot to take a picture of its deliciousness! Just so you know I've followed the truck around town many times, praying it would stop, so i could try one! The wait was worth it, so yummy!

Many many thanks to Shari's Berries for the unbelievably delicious chocolate covered strawberries they provided to us ladies! I may have scouted and chose the biggest ones for myself. I ate them later that night so i would't have to share with my kids.  I even had a dream about them the next night, they are literally dreamy!

life update

You guys, I haven't done a life update in quite sometime.

Here's whats up with my life as of late.
(disclaimer: as usual, i am the worst at taking pictures, these came straight from my phone.i hope you enjoy grainy.)

-We registered Amelia up for kindergarten. Excuse me? how is she old enough for this! She is so excited. It'll be just me and Camden at home. It will be weird at first, but many walks to the park with friend will probably help cam not miss his sister.

-Speaking of Camden. This dude will be 2 in less than two weeks! I can't even believe it.

-Evelyn had a birthday in January she is now 7. I have a 7 year old kid!! It boggles the mind folks. I took her out of school for lunch and we went to Subway, then we went to dinner later, her choice, Applebee's of course.

-I read books now. Weird i know. We'll one book a month, I'm in a book club, have yet to attend a meeting but still I'm reading. February book: The Giver.I need to watch the movie now.

-I gave up soda, for about 5 minutes. I am drinking about a gallon of water a day though, so that's good, right?

-Evelyn and Amelia are playing soccer for the first time.  They had their first games last week. They are not on the same team, they just both ended up with blue teams though. Evelyn's team is Blue Lightning, Amelia's team is Blue Ninja's.

Their first games were entertaining.  Amelia smiled the whole time even though she didn't get the ball much, but she had a great attitude and loved it. Evelyn smiled, kinda, about half way through the 40 minute game she said "I am so over this" way to be Evelyn. :)

Camden saw the girls line up and ran right up to get in the shot. :)

-It has been so nice the last few weeks, we've been spending as much time as we can outside. Love AZ "winter" weather.

-In November-ish, i started working from home. I'm working for my brothers roofing company.

-I have been branching out, meeting new people, getting out of my comfort zone and its been awesome! Amazing things are happening folks! Stay tuned!

I've got a busy life, but its awesome.

Thanks for stopping by!
You stay classy

THE END.

Cartoon Hunks pt. 2

If you're new around here then you wouldn't have seen pt.1 it was almost 3 years ago, so i'm gonna guess most of you have not. So, go back and educate yourself and take a look at >> Cartoon Hunks <<

i have taken your input from those many years ago to add to the list. so here is Cartoon Hunks Pt. 2 enjoy.

I've realized after putting this list together its mostly the "rugged and awkward" list.

Thief turned hero, it couldn't be a better story folks.

2.06.2015

its not all about me, but really it is.

Ah, the year of the reunion.

10 years has passed

do i feel old? not in the slightest.

am i excited to see people from high school? of course.

the planning process for my 10 high school reunion has begun. right now the great debate, the date. i'll show up whenever it is, so i'm just sitting back and changing my vote every once in awhile, stir things up a bit. :)

I've been thinking about these past 10 years, and I totally rocked it. I mean really, hard core rocked it! Sometimes things totally sucked, but i rocked that part too! Most people would think my life it so boring but i love it!

Examples being awesome at my own life:

- i got married (8years baby!)and guess what it totally rules!! love everything about being married. i love that i have someone to share dumb internet videos with at 2 am and we cry air-laugh together (and the after hour/afternoon delight activities are a big perk too.)  but really i get a best friend, every day. he even grew a beard for me, that really says a lot. i big puffy heart love my husband.

- i created life. i have three tiny little persons that call me mom, mommy or my personal favorite MA, MA, MOM, MOM, MA, MOM, MA!!

- i have volunteered countless hours helping other people. i seriously love helping people, any way that i can. sure, it makes feel good but really there are no selfless good deeds, right...Phoebe & Joey?

- I've been on 2 games shows. 1 hasn't aired yet and not quite certain when or if it will, but still. I put myself out there and it was so unbelievably fun! Just FYI- Wayne Brady does in fact smell good.

- I've been a homeowner since 2009 and its been the greatest decision that i forced my husband to agree on. We love owning our home.

- I attempted college cause that's what you're supposed to do after high school, but it just wasn't for me and that's okay! i ruled at sucking at college.

- I've gained and lost probably 100's of pounds since then, and guess what. i could care less what anyone has to say about me cause I rock my body, and i love myself.

- Sometimes, people on twitter think i'm funny. It brings be great pride and joy to be apart of twitter. they just get me. follow me  @airkaka87 < shameless plug

There are so many little things every day that i rock at but I'm not gonna go into them because really, this would go on forever.

I guess i'm just saying that sometimes people dread this time. getting older, blah, blah, blah.   They feel like they have to make an impression or that what they have done in their life doesn't measure up to what so-and-so did, or they don't look the same as they did back then.  GOOD. Be happy with the life you've lived so far, be proud of the stuff you do everyday. I was pretty proud of myself today cause i washed the dishes, i dislike doing that,  but i did it so i drank a Diet DP to celebrate! yow!

but for reals, i love everything I've been able to do these past years. good or bad, its been one heck of a ride.

this post is dedicated to all those fellow 05' graduates out there. may you be awesome at everything you do and happy Facebook stalking before your 10 year reunions.
